The 4D framework provided the scaffold for how I now approach AI product management, giving structure to something that can be overwhelming and dense. As a parent of a baby boy, I figured an AI Product Management course in the dead of the night was a pretty logical choice - I'm already awake at odd hours, so I may as well learn something new. The course was genuinely excellent. It balanced strategy, product thinking, and enough technical depth to help me ask better questions. More importantly, it focused on how to build valuable AI products rather than simply getting distracted by shiny technology. One caveat: this is not a passive-learning experience. The pace is intense, and the content is dense. But there was also plenty of support throughout the course - which certainly helps you push through. Highly recommended for product managers/founders who want to stay ahead of the curve, and anyone looking to better understand how AI can be translated into effective customer and business outcomes.

I was incredibly impressed by Maven’s AI Product Management course. The program provides a comprehensive, end-to-end view of the AI product management lifecycle while staying highly practical and hands-on. One of the most valuable aspects was building an AI solution from scratch, which helped turn concepts into real-world skills. The instructors who are leaders from companies like Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic, brought deep expertise and made the experience interactive by answering questions live, providing personalized coaching, and adapting sessions to the cohort’s needs. This course exceeded my expectations and is an excellent investment for anyone looking to build or strengthen their AI product management skills.

The bar on Maven is high for courses teaching how to be the best AI PM you can be. For me, this course completed my climb to the summit. What I got out of it was a systematic framework with fully fleshed out underpinnings for employing AI at production scale, end to end, beyond prototyping. Now I'm truly an AI builder, 100%.

Fast-paced but hands-on, it pushed me to actually do the work, not just watch. I appreciated the focus on evals, which was new territory for me, and the constant framing of when AI is genuinely the right tool - what business problem are you solving, and is this really the best way to solve it? That critical lens is rare in AI courses.

The weekend sessions with product leaders operating on the cutting edge were invaluable. They gave me real-world insights I can use at work right away.

Honestly, it was probably the most difficult program I’ve ever taken. The regular curriculum itself is already packed but on top of that there are so many live sessions with product leaders, extra workshops, capstone check-ins… that it can feel like a lot, especially if you’re doing it with a full-time job. So you can’t really disappear or casually take the course in the background. But the good outcome is ended up getting an AI role despite coming from a non-AI background and having 8+ years of experience in a different area. I literally prepared for my interviews by watching the course videos, practicing the concepts, and building 3 demos which the company asked. So overall, it’s a very good course, but definitely not an easy one. My only suggestion would be to make the workload a little more manageable for people with full-time jobs. If you want a light course, this is probably not it. But if you actually want to learn AI Product Management seriously and be pushed to build, practice, and apply the concepts, then it’s worth it.

Great intro in to AI product management

The AI Product Management program was outstanding. The content was practical, up-to-date, and directly applicable to building AI products in the real world.
